SIRTEF had been one of the first Italian companies in the industrial lifting business to believe and invest resources in checks and testing products on steel wire ropes and steel wire rope’ slings, shackles, hooks and other lifting accessories. This asset, today considered an essential value-added service to certify the quality and characteristics of lifting systems, has been operating for about 20 years and is increasing continuously as number of requests (several hundred per year) and Institutions involved.
While maintaining its focus on standard tests and certification in the industrial lifting market, SIRTEF since several years has specialized in the sale and testing of products dedicated to the marine industry and offshore. In 2015 first quarter we achieved 133 tests by international registers such as Rina, Lloyd’s reg., ABS, DNV GL, CCS, EMRS, Bureau Veritas.
RINA and Lloyd’s reg. are the most involved registers by which all the weeks there are tests and certifications in the marine fields.
Simultaneously with the internal tasks made in our factory, managed with our equipment as the test bench approved by Rina, single wires testing machine, torsion machine, zinc coating apparatus, NDT equipments; we made several external tests and inspections, on subsea lifting beams, offshore equipment and accessories of great dimension and WLL. We can handle most of these tests quickly and meeting the needs of customers, in compliance with the directives of the international registers.
